Pemodelan Maket Menara Conventional Land Rig Sebagai Penerapan Project Based Learning Dalam Peralatan Pemboran dan Produksi

The industrial world of oil and gas production and processing is an interesting subject to study in scientific fields related to manufacturing and the oil industry in particular, as well as in other related fields. However, in implementing learning activities, it is certainly not easy for students to conduct direct observations to be able to visit or have access to drilling field areas due to various crucial factors, such as the level of security and other matters. The problem in learning drilling and production equipment practicums is where there is a limitation of teaching media for simulations or demonstration tools or modelling in learning, which are supporting factors in improving the quality of learning and increasing understanding for students as learners. The purpose of this research is how to overcome limitations and improve practical learning by carrying out the activity of making a Conventional Land Rig Tower Modelling Model as an Application of Project Based Learning in Drilling and Production Equipment from bamboo and solid waste that can still be used. The research method used to produce certain products that can provide learning outputs. The assignment of making this model is carried out in the form of a project assignment as a form of applied project-based learning which is expected to be a motivation in learning and can add basic recognition and improve students' understanding of how the drilling area environment is.
